AGREEMENT:

If your merchandise is in the store you agree to the terms outlined here.

This agreement may be updated without advance notice, for the health & continued operation of the bookstore.

This agreement stands as the only valid agreement. It supersedes any understanding verbal or written. The agreement as written here, is the entire agreement and is held to the laws of the State of Alaska.


PAYOUT & MARGINS:

The store keeps 30% of the sale. Commissions are calculated at the time of the sale.

Books scanned out of our system at the register, at the time of the sale are tracked at the following percentage margins:

70% of the author’s labeled price is credited to the author.

The author must contact the consignment assistant using the methods provided after enrolling to request a payout of credit accumulated.


MANAGEMENT OF AUTHORS ACCOUNT:


WHAT THE CONSIGNMENT ASSISTANT DOES:

+Works from home is not at the store but can be messaged 24 hours a day. And will usually respond with-in 24 business hours.

+Sends an invitation to view reports of inventory balance at the email address you provide.

+Sends an invitation to schedule a book signing, at our store, using an electronic calendar that is set up solely for this purpose.

+Provides the details of your communication options to contact information provided at enrollment.

+ Makes payments for accumulated & recorded credit owed to an author, when requested, to the consignment assistant, using one of the available methods listed here:

1. With-in 2 business days sends electronic gift certificate for purchases in the store. The electronic certificate is fully transferable, can not be canceled or replaced.

2. With-in 14 days transfer to checking account with routing number provided to the consignment assistant.

3. With-in 30 days mails a check to address on file. Note: There is a $1.00 surcharge for checks requested to be mailed. A $35 charge is made against your account for any checks that need to be reissued, for any reason.

+ Reconciles your account and makes adjustments for refunds done in accordance to the stores refund policy. As well as, annual verification of all payments.

+ Notifies you of inventory that must be picked up with in 30 days, during business hours, by yourself or a representative of you.

+ May advertise that your items are at our store . This includes word of mouth, social media or on our web page.

+ IF YOUR BOOK DOES NOT HAVE A BARCODE: one can be requested when you enroll and will be emailed you must then print and place the barcode on your product with the price next to the barcode.


WHAT THE STORE DOES

+Designates where your items are displayed at the store. Items are routinely circulated throughout the store.

+Considers more than 5 of any authored book left at the store, a donation.

+Allows you or your representative to remove your books from the store during the stores business hours.

+ Pull inventory from the sales floor that

1. Does not adhere to the bookstore’s Christian core values and theme

2. Too many of the same items in the store

3. Space issues, too much inventory

4. Slow turnover, not selling, aged

5. Determined dangerous, for any reason

6. No contact or lack of response from vendor

7. Damaged for any reason

8. Any other business reason, at the discretion of the owners or store manager


WHAT THE STORE DOES NOT:

+The staff at the store does not manually manage any detail of your inventory. The system automatically enters and tracks the sale of your inventory, at the time of the sale, when the barcode is scanned.

+Manage payout requests.

+ Print barcode labels for you. The barcode printer and labels at the store are reserved for the stores merchandise and not consigned inventory.



WHAT CONSIGNORS MAY DO:

+Use credit accumulated on your account toward any purchases made at the store.

+Come into the store, during the business hours posted on our webpage to replenish your stock

+Respectfully share your passion about your book, with customers that come in while you are there.

+Direct concerns to the consignment attendant.

+Make sure there is a barcode on all your books BEFORE bringing them into the store - have the price ON your label.

+Provide the ISBN associated with your barcode upon enrollment or, if your book does not have one, request one to be assigned.

+Use the methods provided here to request a payout.

+DIRECT ALL questions and any concerns directly to our consignment attendant. The consignment attendant is not at the store. The consignment attendant can be reached using:

1. Message in the chat widget on this page

2. Via text

3. Email listed here

4. Scheduling a call using an electronic calendar set up solely for this purpose. The store phone is answered by staff at the store and is not a good number to call about your consignment.

+Consider carrying a general liability. The store, nor its general liability policy, will claim financial responsibility for any damage to or loss of your items.

+ Consult with a tax preparer, bookkeeper, consultant, attorney about product liabilities and this agreement. The bookstore does not withhold any tax nor provide reporting for tax purposes to or for Consignors. No one at any time representing the bookstore can provide such reporting or fill any of these roles as part of our transactions.

+ Have someone come pick up your inventory. With in 30 days of being notified that your inventory is in our pick up station. The store is not equipped to return items through the mail. Any items requested to be removed from inventory, will not be held longer than 30 days, after which they will be considered abandoned and become property of the store.

+ If you consign items with us, your items may be photographed and used in the advertising of our store. If you do not want us advertising your product please do not consign with us.


WHAT CONSIGNORS SHOULD NOT DO:

+Expect the staff at the store to assist you in managing your book consignment in anyway.

+Call the store business number in regards to your consignment account and expect anything beyond being directed to the consignment attendant.

+Distract the staff at the store from the customers that are there to shop or from the work they are assigned to be doing.

+Bring in inventory displays that are not donations to be used or discarded, as a benefit to the primary business of the store.

+Leave more than 5 copies of any one authored book at our on consignment at our store, at any time.

+Expect a payout more frequently than once a month.

+Expect a payment to be issued at the store, beyond making a purchase with credit.

+Bring in cassette tapes, VCR Tapes, periodical publications, dated material, magazines, or non-biblical items. We do not sell them.

+Ask to put more than 3-5 of any one item onto the floor at the same time. If we want more than 3-5 of any one item, we will request this from you. There are some rare exceptions made by the store.
